Four militants were killed in the wee hours of Monday in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district, a defence spokesman said.
Acting on a tip off, the troops launched an operation in the general area of Gulmarg and in the subsequent encounter killed four militants around 0500 hours on Monday, Defence Spokesman Col C K Kachhari told PTI.
Three AK-47 rifles and large amount of ammunition were recovered from the slain militants, he said, adding that the operation was still on.
