After the telecast of the 'cash for vote' sting operation tapes by a private channel, the Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday claimed it has "conclusively established" that United Progressive Alliance government have won the trust vote by "dubious means".

"The sting operation conclusively establishes that the Manmohan Singh government has established its majority in Parliament on July 22 by dubious means," party spokesperson Ravi Shanker Prasad told PTI.

The party also claimed that the telecast sting operation confirms Amar Singh's role in 'procuring MPs' for the UPA government's support. "The tapes telecast by CNN-IBN confirms that Amar Singh was a key player in the 'operation procurement' of MPs for UPA in the trust vote," Prasad said.

The party was "hopeful that the Parliamentary committee looking into the issue would rise above political divides and a give a report at the earliest recommending stringent action against the guilty including Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh," Prasad said.
