Even as the power transfer drama in Karnataka entered its last act on Friday, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy maintained the suspense and refused to divulge any information.
He dodged each and every question about the imminent power transfer in the state. "For the outcome, one has to wait till October 3. You will see for yourselves what happens on that day," said Kumaraswamy.
However, it was evident that the chief minister has not forgotten the Bellary incident, where Tourism Minister Sriramulu accused him of attempted murder.
Kumaraswamy said that it was not right to blame the JD(S) for the confusion about the power transfer, adding that it was the BJP which caused this mess. "Their leader passed a comment against me and look at them, they have not acted against him as yet," said the chief minister.
Meanwhile, senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Yashwant Sinha, who is in charge of party affairs in Karnataka, arrived in Bangalore on Friday evening to sort out the issue.
He is expected to meet senior JD(S) leaders and pacify them so that there are no more hiccups before the hand-over of power.
"We trust Kumaraswamy. I am sure that he will hand over power to the BJP," said state Health Minister and senior BJP leader R Ashok.
