The Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday said there was a strong possibility of its contesting the next Lok Sabha election in alliance with AIADMK in Tamil Nadu.
"There is a strong possibility of our alliance with AIADMK in the next general elections," BJP general secretary Gopinath Munde said.
He said that after sorting out differences with Shiv Sena in Maharashtra, the BJP is confident about a pre-poll alliance with the AIADMK in Tamil Nadu.
He said: "The BJP is ready for pre-term poll anytime and we are sure the UPA government will not remain in office till 2009 in view of widening differences between it and Left parties on the Indo-US nuclear issue."
Reacting to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi's remarks on Lord Rama, Munde said they are "more dangerous" than the first affidavit filed by the central government over the Ram Sethu issue.
"Karunanidhi is playing with the faith of Hindus while placing a question mark on the existence of Lord Ram," he said.
