The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan on Tuesday slammed Saudi Arabia for its role in the deportation of former premier Nawaz Sharif, accusing the country's king Abdullah of conniving with General Pervez Musharraf to preserve "dictatorship".

"Dictators and their friends have formed a trade union, who help each other for dictatorship. The autocrat Saudi King has helped the dictator of another country," HRCP chairperson Asma Jahangir was quoted as saying by BBC Urdu.

She described as highly objectionable a press conference by the chief of Saudi intelligence network and Saad Hariri, the son of former Lebanese Prime Minister, Rafik Hariri, terming it "an attack on Pakistan's sovereignty".

"How will a Pakistani talk with national dignity after Nawaz Sharif's exile?" she said.
