Neighbours and residents of Uma Khurana, who was recently targeted by a sting operation, have started sympathising with the Mathematics teacher. The sting operation had implied that Khurana was involved in the flesh trade and she forced young students to accompany her clients.
After watching the sting operation, angry protestors had attacked Khurana at the central Delhi school and ripped off her clothes. Khurana was suspended immediately and she has been remanded to judicial custody.
When rediff.com tried to contact Khurana's family, we were told that the family has shifted to Gurgoan.
"I never believed the story. But I did not know her personally and
"I saw nothing wrong in her behaviour. But people don't want to get into litigation. Her mother came a couple of days back and the whole family moved out. Their belongings are still very much in the house," said a resident who used to exchange greetings with Uma Khurana.
Meanwhile, Rashmi Singh and Prakash Singh, the reporters behind the sting operation, are presently lodged in Tihar jail. Incidentally, Uma is also lodged at the Tihar Jail.
CNN-IBN, which had aired the sting operation, has complained that one of their shooting tapes is missing.
