A key suspect in the Hyderabad blasts Kaleem alias Rafeeq is understood to have revealed during narco-analysis test on Sunday that he had supplied mobile phone SIM cards to the operatives of terror outfits from Bangladesh.

During the narco-analysis test conducted by the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Bangalore, Rafeeq "corroborated'' the version given by his associate Syed Imran Khan who underwent the test earlier, the police said.

He is said to have admitted that he had played a key role in arranging logistical support to a terror module in Hyderabad.

Based on revelations made by Imran and Rafeeq, the police said there was a connection between the May 18 blast at Mecca Masjid and the August 25 twin blasts at Lumbini Park and Gokul Chat Bhandar.

The police suspected all the three blasts could have been executed by the same module under the directions from the Bangladesh-based Harkat-ul-Jihadi-Islami (HuJI).

The narco-analysis tests are expected to help the police in getting information about Shahid alias Bilal, believed to be the mastermind behind the blasts.

Deputy Director of Forensic Science Laboratory S Malini said in Bangalore the suspects had provided vital leads after they were subjected to narco-analysis test here.

"Rafiq has given some important leads. But I can't reveal what he has given as it will hamper investigations," Malini who subjected him to a three-hour-long test said.
