The beheaded body of a schoolboy, who was kidnapped by gunmen in Bihar's Saharsa district over a fortnight ago, was on Monday recovered from a roadside ditch at Khasho Bahiyar in the district.
14-year-old Nilesh was abducted by gunmen from Balwahat Azaar on September 28 while on his way for tuition.
The kidnappers chopped off the boy's head and threw the body in the ditch on Monday morning, sources said.
Nilesh's father identified the body of his son from his fingers and school uniform at the police outpost, they said.
The body was brought to a government hospital for autopsy.
