Rajasthan govt announces relief

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Thursday announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the next of kin of those killed in the terror attack at the shrine of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti in Ajmer.

The seriously injured will get a relief of Rs 1 lakh each. Raje, who is in New Delhi now, has also directed the state director general of police to rush to Ajmer to monitor the situation and oversee the investigation into the bomb blast.

Condemning the terror attack, she expressed grief at the loss of life in the incident. "It is a condemnable action. The shrine is known world over as a symbol of peace and harmony," she said.

The chief minister said she was saddened to know about the loss of life in the bomb blast at the famous shrine in Ajmer.
"I convey my heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost their dear ones in the attack," Raje said.

Raje is in constant touch with the administration and the police about the situation in the area as also the investigation into the attack. "It has to be found out how the attack took place and who are behind it," she said.
