As Pakistan faces the prospect of suspension from the Commonwealth, India on Tuesday said it would not like to get involved in it. "As far as we are concerned we don't like to get involved in this ourselves," External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee said.

He was asked about the strong indictment of Pakistan by the Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group, which served a 10-day deadline to lift the emergency to avoid suspension from the 53-nation grouping.

During a refueling halt in Yemen on way to Kampala for the CHOGM ministerial meeting, he said India would like to see normalcy returning to Pakistan as early as possible. "Our policy is that peace and stability must return to Pakistan. One of our objectives as SAARC chairperson is that we all develop together," he said.
