While the BJP in Karnataka is confident that it will complete its 19-month term in office, the Congress is all set for a revamp of its state machinery.

BJP national party president Rajnath Singh said that he is confident that the government will complete its full term and added that he didn't expect the JD-S to create any problems for the new government.

The Congress, which didn't attend the swearing-in ceremony, has decided to revamp its state cell. The party has decided to appoint young leaders at the helm of affairs. Although none of the Congress leaders confirmed the same, it was evident that the changes were in accordance with a directive from their high command, after the party failed to prevent the BJP from forming the state government.

Meanwhile, the BJP says that it is too early to think about the elections.

"Our priority is the development of the state and in the next 19 months, we want to bring the state to the number one position from number seven," said chief minister Yeddyurappa.

BJP leader Rajnath Singh, who will call on Deve Gowda along with Advani later on Monday night, said that he will not discuss the 12 conditions laid down by Gowda immediately. It is only a courtesy call as Gowda is unwell, said Singh.

However, in spite of being unwell, Gowda traveled to Madhya Pradesh on Monday morning to inaugurate a party office. He is expected to reach Bangalore late on Monday night.

Singh added that there was no rift between the JD-S and the BJP and the former had not sworn in its MLAs as it intended to do so in batches. He said that the JD-S MLAs are expected to be sworn in after Yeddyurappa proves his majority on the floor of the House.

Singh said that the CM has told the Governor that he would prove his majority on the floor of the Legislative Assembly on November 23 after convening a special session of the Assembly.
