Janata Dal-Secular supremo H D Deve Gowda on Thursday summoned his son and former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy for consultations soon after the Centre decided to revoke President's rule in Karnataka paving way for the formation of a Bharatiya Janata Party-led coalition government.

JD-S state unit chief Merajuddin Patel also accompanied Kumaraswamy for the discussion with Gowda, who seemed not happy with the Union Cabinet's decision.

The details of the talks Gowda had with Kumaraswamy and Patel, were not known immediately.

After pledging support to BJP-led coalition government headed by B S Yeddyurappa, Gowda had dashed off a letter to his BJP counterpart Rajnath Singh demanding complaince to a 12-point MoU.

Gowda wanted a major say for Kumaraswamy in running the government.

However, another Gowda son H D Revanna is opposing the JDS' support to the BJP government.
