Fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim's sister Haseena Parkar, wanted in a case of cheating and forgery, appeared in a Mumbai court on Tuesday.
The court adjourned the hearing on her anticipatory bail plea till Wednesday.
It, however, directed the police not to arrest Haseena till the case is heard but said she can be kept under surveillance.
Haseena is wanted in a case of extortion, forgery and cheating filed by a real estate agent with the Anti Extortion Cell of the Mumbai Police's crime branch.
The court had, earlier in the day, given Haseena time till Tuesday evening to appear before it.
Court orders police to arrest Dawood's sister by May 16
