UP asks Centre to relieve 6 IAS officers

The Uttar Pradesh government has asked the Centre to relieve six IAS officers, who are currently on deputation there.

A formal letter in this regard was sent by the state government on Tuesday requesting the Centre to relieve six senior IAS officers, including G B Patnaik, Anoop Mishra, J N Chamber and R Ramesh Kumar, official sources in Lucknow said.

Mayawati government has given posts to Atul Gupta and Navneet Sehgal.

Both the officers have been called back from the Centre though a formal request to repatriate them was sent only on Tuesday, they said.
