Parliament was thrown into turmoil for the second day on Tuesday with Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party members clashing over the Gujarat fake encounter killing issue leading to adjournment of both Houses twice in the pre-lunch session.

Question Hour could not be taken up in the Lok Sabha as Congress, Left allies and Samajwadi Party demanded removal of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.

SP members also stormed the well shouting slogans against Modi.

As Speaker Somnath Chatterjee did not allow them to raise the issue during Question Hour, noisy scenes broke out and the House was adjourned till noon.

When the House re-assembled, the BJP-led Opposition trooped into the well demanding resignation of RJD parliamentarian Mohammad Shahabuddin who was sentenced to life imprisonment by a Siwan court in a kidnapping case.

Seeing the turmoil, the Speaker adjourned the House for two hours.

The Rajya Sabha witnessed pandemonium over the Gujarat issue and had to be adjourned for 45 minutes during Zero Hour.

As Chairman Bhairon Singh Shekhawat allowed Leader of the Opposition Jaswant Singh to speak, agitated Congress members sprang to their feet and wanted the House to first take up the Gujarat issue.

This triggered noisy protests from opposition benches with BJP members rushing into the well.

As noisy scenes continued, the House was adjourned till 1300 hours to be adjourned again till 1400 hours.
