A prototype of 'Astra', the indigenously developed air-to-air missile was test fired from the Interim Test Range at Chandipur on Monday.
The missile was fired at around 10 am, defence sources said.
Another test launching of the missile is slated to be taken up later during the day, they said.
Astra, known as the beyond visual range air-to-air in defence parlance, was test fired from the same range on Sunday.
