Eleven Telugu Desam Party members were on Friday suspended from the Andhra Pradesh Assembly for a day for obstructing proceedings.

24 TDP members were suspended for two days on Thursday for stalling the Question Hour.

As soon as it commenced, the House witnessed uproarious scenes as TDP members insisted on taking up their adjournment motion on increasing corruption by the chief minister and his relatives, which was disallowed by Speaker K R Suresh Reddy.

The speaker reiterated his ruling that personal allegations in the form of adjournment motion could not be taken up as it had already been disallowed.

He initially adjourned the House for 15 minutes. When the House reassembled, the protesting TDP members continued to obstruct the proceedings. Thereupon, Legislative Affairs Minister K Rosaiah moved a resolution, under rule 300 of the Assembly rules, seeking suspension of TDP members present in the House.
