Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati on Wednesday signed the nomination papers of the United Progressive Alliance presidential candidate Pratibha Patil as the third proposer.
According to officials sources in Lucknow, the Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Priyaranjan Dasmunsi on Wednesday called on the chief minister with the nomination papers of Pratibha.
According to a senior official, Mayawati signed the nomination papers as the third proposer after All India Congress Committee president Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
