Rajasthan Governor and UPA-Left Presidential nominee Pratibha Patil is likely to file her nomination papers on June 23.

Sources told PTI that Patil, who has been in Delhi since Saturday, will resign from the post of Governor before filing the papers.

On the second day of her stay in Delhi, Patil continued with meeting leaders of various parties as part of her campaign for the Presidential election.

Patil met Jan Morcha leader and former prime minister V P Singh and veteran Congress leader Karan Singh who himself was a contender for the top post.

Patil refrained from speaking to mediapersons waiting outside Singh's residence, saying she will talk to them at an 'appropriate' time.

She is also stated to meet Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chaterjee and Union HRD minister Arjun Singh.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Priyaranjan Dasmunshi met Patil to disuss the strategy for the polls.

Patil had met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Left leaders, besides Railway Minister Lalu Prasad on Saturday.

Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, who is likely to contest the Presidential election as an independent backed by NDA, and Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit had also met Patil on Saturday.
