BJP meets over Rajasthan

Senior leaders of the Bhartiya Janata Party met at the residence of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and discussed the problems faced by the Rajasthan government following the violent agitation resorted to by the Gujjars in Dausa and Bundi districts of the state in which 14 persons were killed after the police resorted to firing.

Amongst those who attended the meeting included former president L K Advani, current party president Rajnath Singh were prominent leaders who attended the meet.

"There were just four leaders of the party and they issued an appeal to the Rajasthan government to maintain law and order," Ravi Shankar Prasad,official spokesman told rediff.com on Thursday night. Party president Rajnath Singh also spoke to newsmen after the meeting but refused to discuss anything.
