Indian doctor Mohammed Haneef burst into tears on Tuesday after being shown photographs of his newborn daughter in the first family meeting allowed to him since he was detained three weeks ago.
Imran Siddiqui, a cousin of Haneef's wife, who flew in from India over the weekend, said both he and Haneef cried when they saw each other on Tuesday afternoon at the Wolston Correctional Centre, west of Brisbane, according to ABC.
The emotionally-charged visit lasted for about an hour and Haneef was shown photos of his daughter and family, which he was allowed to keep.
