Security authorities are trying to ascertain whether Bilal Abdulla, the Iraqi doctor charged in connection with the failed attempt of bombing of Glasgow airport, had ever visited India, especially Bangalore.

Sources in security agencies said London police had been asked to furnish some details, including his passport number, to ascertain whether he had ever gone to Bangalore and got in touch with Kafeel Ahmed who is suspected to have made an attempt to ram a flaming jeep into Glasgow airport.

This information was required to ascertain whether Kafeel was actually getting trained either through Al Qaeda or any of its splinter groups.

About Abdulla, the only information available so far was that his brother was killed while taking part in a suicide mission in Iraq.

Kafeel and Abdulla had ensured that only such material would be used for the explosion which was easily available in the market.

Ammonium nitrate was ruled out as the British authorities had enforced strict monitoring of fertilizers generally used for explosives.

Meanwhile, the authorities were completing the scanning of the hard disc of Kafeel's computer during which it was found that he had accessed several bomb-making websites in March this year.

These included sites showing use of mobile phone for explosion, syringes for rapid mixture of acid with explosive material and timers used for detonating the blast, the sources said, adding tapes showing Al Qaeda training camps, atrocities in Chechnya and Iraq have already been found there.
