The mother of Mohammed Haneef, one of the two Indian doctors detained in connection with a terror plot in the UK, on Tuesday said her son would come clean.
"I hope he will come clean. I know my son will come clean and return. I pray for him", Qurrainthullain said.
Haneef's sister Sumayya said her brother was a "very good and a humble" man and was a father figure to her after the death of their father 10 years ago. Haneef hails from Karnataka.
"You can ask his (Haneef's) school friends, neighbours and relatives and find out how good he is," she said adding, the news of his detention came as a "shock to us."
"My brother will be released with respect and honour and he will come back to India," Sumayya said.
Replying to a question, she said there was "no truth" in the suspicion against her brother.
