As the probe in Nithari grisly killing of women and children continued, the Central Bureau of Investigations on Monday conducted a lie detector test on Maya, the maid who worked in the house of the main accused Moninder Singh Pandher.

The CBI took the decision to carry out the lie detector test on her after she repeatedly changed her statements on whether she had knowledge about the alleged killings taking place in Pandher's D-5 house by his servant Surendra Koli.

The process of recording her statement was initiated after some children and women alleged before the CBI that Maya used to stalk them and try and lure them into the house.

The statement of the children claimed that Maya had been doing that at the behest of Koli, the CBI sources said.

They also expressed surprise over the claim of Maya that she had never seen bloodstains in the house, a fact that the CBI investigators were not ready to believe.

Meanwhile, the custody of Pandher and Koli was to expire on January 25 and the CBI was likely to seek their CBI custody in a fresh case so that they could be interrogated at length.

The sources said no lawyer or relative had either contacted Pandher or Koli during their CBI custody so far. The CBI had also not informed Koli about media reports claiming that he had become a father.

In a related development, a meeting of forensic experts was again held in the CBI headquarters on Monday in which the stock of skeletal remains and other things was taken.
