Terming Manmohan Singh the 'weakest' prime minister, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav on Saturday alleged that all files were reaching the prime minister's office after passing through 10, Janpath.

The prime minister does not take any decision himself and all decisions are taken by the Congress President Sonia Gandhi, which is the real centre of power, he said.

Asserting he had no prime ministerial ambition, he said his party only wants welfare programmes and policies of his government to reach the masses.

"Some political parties are saying Mulayam Singh Yadav wants the prime minister's post. I neither want to become the prime minister nor the chief minister," Yadav said.

On ousted Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein's execution, the chief minister alleged that India had not opposed his hanging due to the US pressure while Americans had come out openly against this.

Turning to Nithari killings, the chief minister demanded a CBI probe into mowing down of Hindi-speaking people in Assam and asked, "...why Congress and other parties are keeping mum on this issue."

Addressing a conference of the Chak community, he launched a scathing attack on those who were slamming his government on the law and order front. The chief minister said incidents similar to Nithari are taking place in Congress-ruled states and no one is demanding a CBI probe.
