The Court directed the Centre to place before it the background documents that led to the foundation for the Master Plan for Delhi-2021.

A bench headed by Justice Arijit Pasayat made it clear that at the moment it was not going into the issue of filing of the affidavits and it was not going to pass any order on the extension of the deadline.

Solicitor General G E Vahanvati informed the court that the MPD was prepared after 12 groups of experts and eminent people were involved in it.

The bench posted the matter for further hearing on February 20.
