Serious differences appear to have surfaced in Uma Bharti's Bharatiya Janashakti Party over the issue of withdrawal of candidates in the Gujarat polls.

All state unit chiefs and BJS general secretary, Prahlad Patel, a close confidante of Uma Bharati, decided that all the party candidates will remain in the fray.

"The decision of Bharti has created a crisis of credibility for the party, specially, if similar situation arises in the states like Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, in the assembly elections," Patel told media persons in Bhopal on Friday.

The party leaders have already kept Bharti abreast about their decision to remain in the fray in Gujarat and it was up to her, whether, she wanted to campaign in favour of the party candidates in Gujarat or not, Patel said.

As far as bypolls in Madhya Pradesh are concerned, Patel, said, that despite opposition to her decision to withdraw candidates in Gujarat, she campaigned in favour of party candidates in Khargone and Sanver, which shows that the party is not split over the matter.

Patel also announced that he will observe complete silence from December 12 to January 2, as the polls in Gujarat and also bypolls in Khargone and Sanver (both MP) will be over by then.

However, he said it has nothing to do with the party's decision on the issue of withdrawal of candidates from Gujarat and added that it was his personal matter.
