Members of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Mohammed Muqtada Khan, Mohammed Moazzam Khan and Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri were produced at the 12th MM Metropolitan Criminal Court in Hyderabad on Thursday in connection with the attack
on Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasreen.
The trio, members of the political outfit Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, were arrested on August 9 for disrupting a book release function at the Hyderabad press club and trying to attack Nasreen.
The MLAs had claimed that Nasreen's writings are anti-Islamic.
