India and Pakistan are making 'reasonable progress' on the Kashmir issue, Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf has said, expressing optimism that the two sides will reach at some conclusion.
The Pakistan President, who is on a tour of Poland, also gave credit to the Indian leadership for the positive progress achieved so far in normalising the tense relations between the two countries.
"They (negotiators) are making reasonable progress on Kashmir and I am optimistic that they will hopefully reach some conclusion," he said, addressing a gathering of Polish civil society at the Institute of International Relations in Warsaw on Monday.
Emphasising that India and Pakistan need to make rapid progress to
resolve that Kashmir issue, Musharraf hoped that the Indian leadership will show sincerity, flexibility and courage to achieve the objective.
