A 13-year-old boy hanged himself in Kanpur after watching a suicide scene on television.
Pankaj, a class eight student of Maswanpur area, committed suicide on Monday evening after watching a scene in a TV serial, police said.
The boy hanged himself with a cloth while other family members were out of the house, they said.
His sister Archana said Pankaj was asking family members about the hanging scene on TV after watching it.
The body has been sent for post mortem and further investigations are on.
