A business associate of fashion designer Anand Jon, who was in Jon's apartment the morning after Jon allegedly sexually assaulted a woman, told the celebrity Web site TMZ.com that he saw the woman that morning, and nothing seemed wrong.

The man, who wished to remain anonymous, said that he arrived at Jon's apartment around 9.30 am, and when he first saw the woman, she appeared to be in a "happy, giddy mood."

He claimed that she took a shower, tried on three pairs of Anand's jeans (and asked for a free pair), before leaving for lunch with other people who were at the apartment the night before.

The friend told the Web site that he spoke with the police, but got the bum's rush after "they didn't get the answers they wanted from me."

"This shows the real nature of the allegations," Jon's sister Sanjana told rediff.com. "The media should also highlight such developments instead of focusing on negatives only," she requested.

"The prosecution claimed in court that the girls who made the accusations were reluctant to get publicity. But some have gone to the media with the accusations," she said.

The whole affair looks like a witch hunt, she claimed. "Many of the girls saw the picture of Anand on TV and they came forward with allegations."
