"Terror threat is real. But there is no cause for panic. You are in safe hands," Director General of Police, B S Sial said at a function in Bangalore. Speaking at the inauguration of "Emergency Response Centre" at Atomic Minerals Directorate for Exploration and Research, Sial flayed companies for not investing enough in security-related aspects which, he said, was not a priority area for them.
He said many Bangalore-based companies, which reported robust growth in terms of revenue and profit, were not investing enough in security aspects.
"It takes time and effort to grow a small balloon (business) into a big balloon but it takes a small pin to puncture and blow off the air," Sial said.
He warned that unless companies invest in security-related aspects, they cannot have safe and secure development. They have to reinvest in upgrading the security apparatus. They have to make investment in terms of money, resources, thinking process and vision with regard to security aspects, to ensure a safe and secure workplace.
