Two accused in the multi-crore fake stamp case on Monday submitted objections to the Special MCOCA Court in Pune over the leak of footage of a narco-analysis test on kingpin Abdul Karim Telgi that was beamed on TV channels.

During the hearing, held via video-conferencing between the court presided over by Special Judge Chitra Bhedi and Yerawada Central Jail, accused Rashid Kulkarni and former MLA Anil Gote sought a probe by the court to find out who was responsible for leaking the footage of the test done in 2003 at Bangalore.

The accused also demanded the starting of contempt of court proceedings against those responsible for the leak. The narco-analysis test CD was not deposited with the court and therefore its telecast amounted to contempt of court, they said.

The court also extended the judicial custody of all the accused till September 19. Four of the 67 accused, including former Mumbai police commissioner R S Sharma and ex-Mumbai crime branch Deputy Commissioner of Police Pradeep Sawant, are free on bail.

One accused is absconding and another died in Yerawada Central Jail in February. Those in the jail were produced through video-conferencing during the hearing. Telgi's wife Shahida was brought to the court and others were freed on bail including Sharma and Sawant were in attendance.

Meanwhile, the envelope containing the 11 CDs of recorded telephonic conversations between Telgi and influential people, taped by the Karnataka Police team while he was in Bangalore Central Jail a few years ago, is likely to be opened on September 19.
