Pakistan will continue to improve upon its defensive deterrence, which is 'potent' and 'much credible' than ever before, President Pervez Musharraf said on Thursday.
Without directly referring to India, Musharraf told a meeting of Armed Forces Officers of Islamabad and Rawalpindi Garrisons said he had full confidence in the defensive deterrence, which is 'potent and much credible than ever before.'
"We shall continue to improve upon it," he told the military top brass.
In the conventional field, he said induction of hi-tech weaponry to enhance the fighting punch of the three services is proceeding as per the envisaged force goals. Restructuring of the Army has resulted

in improving teeth to tail ratio while making resources available to add to the Army's potency, he said.
