Sitar Maestro Pandit Ravi Shankar, who was admitted to a hospital in San Diego, is likely to released from the hospital in a day or two, hospital sources said on Tuesday.
Shankar, suffering from fever and mild pneumonia, was admitted in the intensive care unit of the hospital a few days ago.
The sources said there is no cause of anxiety as his condition has improved to the point where his release is being contemplated. Earlier, family spokesperson Jennifer said the sitar maestro was receiving the 'best care.'
"All I can say is that he is in the hospital and in the best care he can be. His wife Sukanya is pretty much at his side," she told PTI.
