Two suspected ISI agents were arrested by the Sashastra Seema Bal with fake Indian currency notes with a face value of Rs 80,000 late Thursday night, officials said.
Noor Mohammed and Rehman Ali were arrested from Tatpaua village on a tip-off, SSB assistant commandant Pankaj Gangwal said on Friday.
During interrogation, the two men confessed to have received the money from two Bangladeshis, Shafiuddin and Amjad Khan, at Farakka in West Bengal.
The arrested men originally hailed from Bangladesh but had settled in Kishanganj district 25 to 30 years ago, Gangwal said.
They were engaged in circulating fake notes for several years. Their interrogation is still underway, he said.
