Describing the situation in Delhi as 'serious' in view of the decision to resume the sealing drive from Wednesday, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Tuesday demanded a rehabilitation plan for the traders hit by the action.
"My message for the people of Delhi is please be calm because the situation is serious. But if any kind of untoward incident takes place then it spoils the atmosphere further," Dikshit said, when asked to react to the Supreme Court-appointed monitoring committee's decision to resume the drive.
She said the Centre, Delhi government as well as the MCD have 'done the maximum' they could to provide relief to the affected traders.
The chief minister, during a discussion on the matter in the Assembly, demanded a rehabilitation package from DDA and MCD for the traders affected by the sealing.
