Panthers' Party Chief Bhim Singh on Friday presented a copy of "Bhagwad Gita" to Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf and appealed to him to grant autonomy to the people in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir and Gilgit similar to that people in Jammu and Kashmir enjoy.

Presenting a copy of Bhagawad Gita, Constitutions of India and Jammu and Kashmir besides some of the bookes authored by him, Singh said, "We in Jammu and Kashmir have our own constitution" and the same could be extended to the people in Pakistan occupied Kashmir and Gilgit.

Singh conveyed this during a two-hour long meeting between Musharraf and delegates at the conference on Kashmir organised by Europe-based think-tank Pugwash, a release of Panthers' Party said.

Musharraf responded to Singh by saying that there was "complete autonomy" in PoK and Gilgit but "he was open to consider if anything further needs to be done in this case," it said.

Musharraf also ruled out the possibility of independent Jammu and Kashmir saying it was not "durable," the release said.
