Indo-Pak night bus service resumes

The night bus service from border areas of Ferozepur and Fazilka to Ludhiana-Chandigarh in Punjab, which had been discontinued during the days of militancy, has been resumed.

Deputy Commissioner B C Thakur flagged off the inaugural run of the resumed night bus service on Fazilka-Ferozepur-Ludhiana-Chandigarh route in Ferozepur on Tuesday night.

Speaking on the occasion, Thakur said a large number of daily passengers, including government employees, were facing lot of problems on account of non-availability of night bus service between these places.

General Manager, Punjab Roadways Sukhbir Singh said this would be followed by another night bus service to New Delhi soon.
