The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and the Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, which entered into an alliance for the May eight assembly elections in Tamil Nadu, on Monday began the process of identifying seats, where the latter will contest.
After the AIADMK allocated 35 seats to the MDMK, poll committees of the two parties met at the AIADMK headquarters in Chennai and held discussions on identifying the constituencies.
The talks, which lasted for about two hours, also centered around sharing of seats between the two parties for the assembly elections in neighbouring Pondicherry, party sources said.
AIADMK supremo and Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa constituted a six-member committee on Monday to hold seat-sharing
