Harish Sharma, former aide of late Bharatiya Janata Party leader Pramod Mahajan and Ganesh, a servant of the Mahajan household were given bail of Rs 50,000 each from Tuglak Road police station on Wednesday.

The two were booked under Section 201 of the IPC for destruction of evidence after Rahul Mahajan and Vivek Maitra were taken from 7, Safdarjung Road to Apollo Hospital last Friday night. Ganesh had been directed by Harish Sharma to clear up the mess made by Rahul Mahajan and Maitra.

The bail has come as a big relief for Sharma and Ganesh.

Sharma was arrested by the Delhi police at 12.30 am on Wednesday in connection with the Rahul Mahajan drugs case. Ganesh, was also arrested late on Tuesday night.

The total number of arrests in the Rahul episode have now gone up to seven, which include, Rahul, Sahil Zaroo and three Nigerians.

Talking about the three boys -- Rahul Malhotra, Tishay Khanna and Karan Ahuja -- Additional DCP Manish Aggarwal, New Delhi district, said their exact role in the episode is still under the scanner and "if we find they have a role in the Rahul Mahajan drugs case, then we will arrest them."

Aggarwal pointed out that Sudanshu Mittal, Bharatiya Janata Party moneybag, was spoken to at length, but nothing had come of it so far. "We are still on the job," Aggarwal said.

Aggarwal promised to give more details once Harish and Ganesh are produced in court.
