A journalist of a vernacular daily was arrested in Mumbai on Monday for his alleged role in the July 11 blasts in the city, police said.
Danish Riaz Shaukatali Shaikh, working as a reporter with a Mumbai daily, was arrested by the Anti Terrorism Squad under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and will be produced in the court later in the day.
ATS Chief K P Raghuvanshi told PTI that Danish may not be directly involved in the July 11 blasts but is suspected of assisting subversive elements.
