First Lady of the United States, Laura Bush, has said the US will, for sure, have a woman president and feels Condoleezza Rice, the secretary of state, is the best bet for the top post.

"I think it will happen for sure. It will happen probably in the next few terms of the presidency in the United States," Bush said during a television interview before leaving for Liberia for the inauguration of the first female president in Africa.

Laura Bush is accompanied by her daughter Barbara and a delegation led by the secretary of state.

Rice has, all along, maintained that she had no interest in the presidential post, even though the media persistently slotted her and Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton as potential candidates for the 2008 run.

"I'd love to see her (Rice) run. She's terrific," the First Lady observed.
