India will lead the world soon: RSS chief

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief K Sudarshan Wednesday said that everyone is looking at India for world peace and in these circumstances it is important for Hindus to unite and know their strengths.

"The entire world will learn lessons of world peace and humanity from India. India is 'karmabhoomi' and one has to take birth here to attain God's grace and salvation," Sudarshan said addressing 15,000-odd crowd of RSS volunteers and public at Panaji Gymkhana Ground.

Addressing volunteers for the first time after change in Bharatiya Janata Party leadership, Sudarshan's speech was bereft of any political references.

"From the year 2011 onwards, India will lead the world and Hindu community should unite to be prepared for the occasion," he said delivering his baudhik varg (intellectual class).

Sudarshan blamed "imperialism" for the "failure of Christianity and Muslim fundamentalists to imbibe the values of tolerance in their religion".

The RSS chief narrated anecedote to cite how "Islam took inspiration from Hindu faith to preach tolerance in their scriptures and preachings and how imperialism spoiled their urge for tolerance".

The RSS chief, reiterated his stand in support of "swadeshi" church.

"When I speak of swadeshi church, I appeal Christian community not to get carried away with influence of outsiders. I was told by a priest that the perfect example of swadeshi church is in Kerala wherein village controls the church," Sudarshan said.
