Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu alleged on Sunday that his telephone too was being tapped.

The Telugu Desam Party supremo has sought an impartial inquiry into the entire issue.

"I suspect that my telephone too was being tapped since last year and I will come out in open when I get some proof like Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh did," Naidu told reporters after meeting Amar Singh at his residence.

Since many opposition leaders raised the matter, I demand that an impartial inquiry should be ordered to bring forth the facts and clear the apprehensions, Naidu said.

"The matter should be inquired by a team of three chief ministers, including Buddhadeb Battacharjee (West Bengal), Nitish Kumar (Bihar) and J Jayalalithaa (Tamil Nadu)," he said.

Amar Singh, who was also present at the venue, said forces which spent crores of rupees for tapping his phone 'can go to any extent and the United Progressive Alliance government should be blamed if anything happens to me.'

Asked if he saw a threat to his life, Amar Singh said, "People can go to any extent. If they could tap my phone they can also do harm to my self."

Ever since the telephone tapping issue broke out, the Samajwadi party national general secretary has been calling on various opposition leaders seeking their support.
