Under Congress attack in the phone-tapping issue, embattered Samajwadi Party general secretary Amar Singh on Friday demanded that the tapes purported to show him in poor light be made public and alleged that a big industrialist and a journalist-turned member of Parliament were involved in the 'conspiracy'.

"I am not afraid of blackmail and will expose those behind the entire operation," he said at a press conference, shortly after he told Prime Minister Manmohan Singh about the industrialist and the MP behind the operation.

"The whole thing (against me) is produced and directed by 10-Janpath," Singh alleged and demanded that it should be made public.

He claimed that at least 60 tapes, involving leaders of different poltical parties, including from BJP and Congress, were in the possesion of Sonia Gandhi and said he would be meeting non-Congress leaders to caution them.

Singh alleged that the entire phone-tapping plan was executed by All India Congress Committee general secretary Ambika Soni, Pulak Chaterjee, former aide of Sonia Gandhi, R Narayanswami, Principal Secretary (Home) in the Delhi Government , the journalist MP and several others associated with 10 Janpath.

The Congress party and the Central government have already denied the charge.

The Samajwadi Party leader, who on Thursday met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, said he would be meeting President A P J Abdul Kalam shortly. He will also meet Telugu Desam Party chief Chadrababu Naidu, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and other non-Ccongress leaders, Singh said.
