Asking India and Pakistan to give a 'serious thought' to President Pervez Musharraf's proposal on resolving the Kashmir issue, Hurriyat Chairman Mirwaiz Omar Farooq has said that the next three months will be crucial in finding a solution to the imbroglio.
"I think that the next two or three months are very crucial for the issue of Kashmir. There are certain indicators suggesting that resolution of the issue might be there," he said in London on Wednesday.
Addressing members of the Kashmiri Diaspora at a reception hosted by Shahid Malik, parliamentarian in the House of Commons, the Mirwaiz appreciated Musharraf's formula in the light of the self-governance proposal.
The four-point formula is suggests no change in boundaries of Kashmir; making borders and the Line of Control irrelevant; having staggered demilitarization; and have autonomy or self-governance
