An Indian student was forced to spend five days at an immigration detention centre in Kuala Lumpur though he had a valid visa, a relative of the student has claimed.
Mohammad Shahid Dar, 23, from Srinagar, who studies Journalism at a local college, was released on Friday after being picked up by immigration officials on Sunday, his cousin Shahid Anjum a resident of Kuala Lumpur, told

Dar was picked up by RELA (voluntary Immigration officials) from a shopping mall in downtown Kuala Lumpur. He was sent to a detention camp where people without valid papers or visas are remanded even though he had showed his student
