Ten days after suspending former external affairs minister Natwar Singh, the Congress on Friday took a similar disciplinary action against his son Jagat Singh, who was indicted by the Pathak Inquiry Authority in the oil-for-food scam.

Announcing the suspension, Rajasthan Congress Committee president B D Kalla said Jagat, legislator from Laxmangarh, was suspended from the party for 'indiscipline.'

Congress had on August 8 suspended

Natwar Singh from primary membership of the party for misusing his position to get oil contracts.

The Pathak inquiry report had indicted Natwar Singh and his son Jagat for misusing their positions to favour some people close to them in procuring oil contracts from the Saddam Hussein regime in 2001.
