Three persons, including two militants, were on Wednesday killed in an encounter in Mughal Maidan area of Doda district, official sources said.
On specific information, troops launched an operation in Mughal Maidan forest belt of Doda early on Wednesday morning and in the subsequent encounter two ultras, including a self-styled area commander were killed, the sources said.
One army jawan was also killed in the retaliatory firing by militants, they said adding, the ultras belong to the Hizbul Mujahideen outfit.
